Where is Hong Kong located?

Hong Kong's official status is ‘Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China’. It was a former British dependency in eastern Asia. Hong Kong is a territory of China; it is situated on China’s southeastern coast. Hong Kong is made up of section of the mainland and 235 islands of different sizes. The total land area is 412 square miles (1,067 square km). Hong Kong is partially located in the delta of the Zhu Jiang River. It’s closest neighbour is probably Macau. It’s a Portuguese colony, positioned opposite of the Zhu Jiang River.
